Update:

America By Heart by the new American queen of hearts.
She sets the conservative minds aflame, and patriotic hearts aflutter. She represents the post-liberal American Truth. As reflected in 2010 election results. First she went rogue, now she wins America by heart. That’s our Sarah. The new leader for a new America. The Big Dipper.

Done! While the rest of the nation obsessed over cyber Monday, sent away for a signed copy. My hundred for your defence, Sarah! Nay, for the defense of America, by my heart! Excerpts will follow in due course. It’s the readers’ turn now.
Original Post Begins Here:

The midterm elections showed the political acumen, electoral prowess and the intuitive genius of Governor Sarah Palin. Not for the first time since leaving office, to serve the country better, did she show display the leadership qualities she is made of.

Her influence was felt everywhere on election night. In the media, on the internet and, across the world. As results trickled in, bloggers and news commentators couldn’t resist bringing her up again and again to give context to their comments, and to give meat to their argument. In the process, they revealed themselves to be less gracious, and some even less begrudging in their admiration of the Governor’s political wisdom.

Such has been the influence of Sarah Palin on election 2010 that, besides the obligatory note that the 2012 season began that night, headlines writers made a beeline to frame the entire election as a verdict on the Governor’s own political clout, ambition and future. Few dared to frame it in the obverse of the coin – it was massive Fail for the president.

Palin effect’ screamed Politico, but couldn’t resist the cheap shot that Sarah herself was somehow the beneficiary of it all. As if it were not the American people, not the candidates, and not the millions who felt empowered and energized through these dispiriting times. It’s the people, stupid! • Slaying Salmon July 15, 2014
Home from commercial fishing grounds in Bristol Bay, and here's Piper helping slay salmon to market! A good season for wild reds on the Nushagak, Piper hopes to make enough to cover, maybe, a cell phone bill. Do you agree, as I’ve said before, we need more girls holding up fish in pics instead of holding up iPhones in selfies?!  It’s always wonderful re […]

Looking forward to heading out on the first leg of our "Good Tidings and Great Joy" book tour! I wanted to share with you some of the pre-Thanksgiving schedule and details. (More to come!) We look forward to seeing you on the road, having the opportunity to spread the positive message of this book and really share in the true spirit of the Christma […]
  • It Takes a Village... to Slay a Salmon July 3, 2013
The beauty of catching some of our Alaskan species with fins is the amount of meat harvested with each fish. Rod and reeling red salmon, or, my favorite, a big (or even not so big) halibut ensures you've got a few dinners taken care of even when feeding a bunch of people. We had a blast hauling in halibut in Homer a few days ago, despite the cold rain an […]
  • Commemorating the 150th Anniversary of Gettysburg June 30, 2013
Today marks the beginning of the week-long ceremonies commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. There will be a full re-enactment of the battle, discussions with panels of historians, and of course a re-reading of the Gettysburg Address. But as Lincoln affirmed when he dedicated that hallowed ground, nothing we say or do can “add or de […]
  • #SOTUGottaBKiddingMe February 13, 2013
If you missed President Obama’s State of the Union address last night, you didn’t miss much – especially if you watched any of his past four State of the Union addresses. We heard the same recycled rhetoric, and we heard his Orwellian declaration that the cornucopia of new federal programs he proposed, as well as his intention to eradicate world poverty, wou […]
  • New Year's Resolution to Keep the Faith! January 1, 2013
Best wishes to everyone for a happy New Year! In the coming days there will be a great deal of debate about the goings-on in the political arena and the shenanigans in Washington. Constitutional commonsense conservatives must stay engaged and hold our “leaders” accountable to the voice of average everyday hard working Americans or we will very soon become an […]

  • Nets Spend 77 Percent of Evening News on Wild Trump Presser
In a jaw dropping spectacle in the lobby of Trump Tower on Tuesday, the President went off on the media while ranting about his response to the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia over the weekend. Trump stepped in it when he appeared to defend the alt-right and doubled down on his original comments from Saturday. The presentation was originally supposed t […]

  • Bozell & Graham Column: The Press Is Not Trusted or Popular
CNN delighted in reporting the results of a recent poll question which asked: “How much do you trust the things you hear in official communications from the White House? Do you trust almost all, most of it, just some of it, or nothing at all?” If a regular viewer of CNN chose anything higher than zero, you'd assume he was a victim of the opioid epidemic […]

  • Fake News: Matthews Claims GOPers Are Not Condemning Trump’s Charlottesville Remarks
On Tuesday’s Hardball, MSNBC host Chris Matthews irresponsibly dabbled in fake/false news by claiming that Republicans and those in GOP leadership haven’t spoken out against President Trump’s handling of the Charlottesville violence, including his Tuesday afternoon press conference. Matthews was squabbling with frequent Hardball guest and GOP strategist John […]

  • Washington Examiner’s ‘Mainstream Media Scream’ with the MRC’s Assessment
Since late January of 2012, the Washington Examiner’s Paul Bedard has once a week featured a “Mainstream Media Scream” selection in his “Washington Secrets” column. For each pick, usually posted online on Monday, I provide an explanation and recommend a “scream” rating (scale of one to five). This post contains the “Mainstream Media Screams” starting in Janu […]

  • Vox: North Korea Backed Down Because of... Charlottesville?
"Kim Jong-un blinked and backed off some of his threats. So is it possible that some of the President’s amped up rhetoric worked?" That was John Berman today at CNN's Newsroom blurting out that perhaps President Donald Trump should get credit for North Korea backing down on its threat to hit Guam with a missile. Unfortunately for Berman, he br […]
