That does it, I now love Meg Whitman. Even without knowing anything about her. Just knowing that the democrat fools called her a whore is enough to make me think she deserves some love, and vote.

It is also good to see Ms. Whitman herself is fighting back. And that fight is getting some coverage. Back during the 2008 primary season when Randy Rhodes called Hillary Clinton “a f***ing whore” only blogger were moved to outrage. The candidate should always be out front and fight back. More power to Meg. Incidentally, Sarah Palin doesn’t take such slime lying down, she will dish it out. The power of Sarah, may it go with Meg!

Down with sexism, misogyny and racism in politics.

Hey, Moonbeam,  STFUP

Meg Whitman, Go!

See the image of an acorn in the sidebar of this blog, it’s been there almost an year!!

Click the acorn image to access an amazing graphic of the many interconnections amongst unions, democrat politicians and acorn, an embedded video, and more links to accredited research. The video has lots of disturbing stats, a few funny lines, and some very annoying old history.

Looking back, it’s not quite clear where and when the image and CRACK THE ACORN slogan first appeared, but the best recollection is that this blog got it from JUST SAY NO DEAL, a favorite website, around October 2008.

Quite overlooked for a long time now, the image of the Acorn in the sidebar is begging for new attention. CRACK THE ACORN!.

dakinikat

The fabulous dakinikat, an erudite writer on Economics, the elegant mistress of the blog Sky Dancing, and a frequent contributor at The Confluence, and famous for her iconic avatars, sparkles again!

This time the zen-maitresse writes lovingly, wistfully about the year that has passed. The year of the Puma.

It was a year ago during the Memorial Day weekend, that the Rules and Bylaws Committee of the Democratic National Committee dealt a final insult to Senator Hillary’s candidacy. It was a sheer act of perfidy. Masterfully engineered by the DNC honchos, valiantly fought against by Harold Ickes and team-Hillary, all to naught. The primaries of Florida and Michigan, embroiled in controversy and rule-breaking, manipulated ad nauseum by the ilk of Rep. Wexler et al, leading ultimately the Obamists to won. PUMA was born. NObama was born. Sarah Palin was yet unknown to most America. Has it really been only one year, it seems like so long ago!

Dakinikat’s post is a must read. A great look back, a sad lament, not to be forgotten:

One Person one vote is a bedrock of our political system.

That was until one year ago today, when the Democratic Rules and Bylaws Committee declared the voters of Michigan and Florida to be one half of a person. This decision, done in a closed room behind close doors, was done in the name of party unity and led to the famous “party unity my ass” uttered at The Confluence that led to the PUMA movement. [sic]

…we found out soon enough that the party leaders did have their agenda and it was to ensure that we had their Candidate. We’re still unraveling the reasons for this travesty. We endured sexism, misogyny, and race-baiting through out the entire election cycle. We will be paying for this most undemocratic of decisions for years to come. We could have had a President that supports Abortion Rights and Universal Health Care. We could have had a President that refused to vote for FISA. We could have had a President that wasn’t controlled by lobbyists, Wall Street Fat Cats, and was a policy wonk extraordinaire.

Tea Bag Puma

An excellent puma blog, Autographed Letter Signed, has an exquisite new post, detailing the exact same sense as this blog has experienced over the last two years. Namely, stunned exasperation at the media’s role during the recent election cycle, and heartache at the way Democrats turned against the Clintons, Hillary specially.

As painful as  all of that recapitulation is, this post by Kathy Barkulis is a must read. It’s simply, Pure Puma.

Why do I post it here? Well, turns out Barkulis is the same person as the lady we saw during the CNN-Tax Tea Party confrontation video. Who knew?

When I finished reading that post, and only then found out that the author was that same person as in the video below, believe me,  it was a deja vu moment, a Harriet Christian moment, if you will. That, is not too surprising either, as it was exactly a year ago that that lady burst on the scene, and won herself over as the original she-puma.

Do go and read the post. Click on the image.

Original Post Begins Here:

All Pumas know what sort of perfidy the media is capable of. For well over an year, we watched Hillary being savaged, Sarah being maligned mercilessly, candidate BO being praised sky-high and then totally venerated. PUMAs are well-versed in the media dirty tricks, lack of conscience, misogyny, and virulent left-leaning talent.

Shutthefreudup was borne of such angst. During the ’08 campaign, the media bias was well documented in all pumasphere and here as well. See here, here, here.  As noted  here,  Zombie wrote brilliantly about the meta game that went on during the longest presidential campaign ever!

Now, comes the Tea Party coverage. This video is just one reason why I gave up television two years ago, and am not likely to go back to it ever. The woman reporter virtually smears a whole movement as being as Nobamist, picks out the extreme nut job on view and totally ignores everyone else. She even mentions Fox, as a reason to devalue any citizen complaint, Nice!

To do anything activist nowadays is automatically directed agains the president, wow! What a change a couple hundred years have brought, too bad the King didn’t have access to CNN back during the Boston Tea Party days!!

Here is Rachel Maddow of some other network, she chortled endlessly over her own naughty thoughts.

Enough already! Giggles over tea bags?  Sex and the City caused Carrie and us to blush about this one, delightfully enough, some SIX years ago!!

For crying out loud, Rachel, you really are late for this party.

The last word on the Media’s idiocy must go to the great Bob Somerby of  Daily Howler, to wit:

For Maddow, Tuesday would be the fourth straight night of utterly juvenile dick jokes. (Last night’s program made five.) And so, a familiar dodge appeared. After treating us to a few quick dick jokes, Maddow pretended to explain why she’s been behaving this way: “I can’t help myself,” she said. Again, we ask our basic question: Has anyone on cable news ever been this disingenuous? [sic]

Sadly, this is becoming a standard feature of the Maddow Show. In this utterly bogus performance, “Sunday morning Rachel” appears, apologizing for the conduct of her “Saturday evening” alter ego. Her “admission,” of course, is utterly bogus—a juvenile way to have life both ways. As of last night, the prurient host has devoted five straight nights to long strings of “juvenile” dick jokes. On two of those nights, she has pretended that she is embarrassed by these conversations. On this third occasion, she pretends that she keeps doing these things because she can’t help herself.

But the news is a very important thing. A response to this nonsense writes itself:

Beyotch! If you can’t control the things you do, you need to get yourself off the air! Stop telling yourself that you’re a Rhodes Scholar. Go somewhere else. Get some help.

[Emphasis Added]

David Shuster went on a rampage of puns, double entendres, and glib Mattews-level sound and fury.

Even the highly talented baseball broadcaster Steve Stone couldn’t have reached this level of puns and wordplay!

Does any of this matter, it’s all politics, and of the moment only, right?  Don’t we always move on to the next hot topic anyway? That, is exactly the point. For, lost in all of this is a sad, and bitter truth about the media and what it can bring about. Again, Daily Howler’s Bob Somerby:

All through the 1990s, liberals and progressives sat back and took it while Clinton, then Gore, were relentlessly savaged. (George Bush ended up in the White House.) Now, progressives sit back and take it again, as this pair of simpering chimps make a joke of “progressive” news programs.

For as long as we’ve been alive on this earth, sneering pseudos of this type have undermined progressive interests. Long ago, they helped elect Nixon. Rest assured: In their open contempt for average people, they’re hard at work on the project again.

Envoi:

If this post accomplishes just one thing, gets you to visit Daily Howler, and return to it often, then some good shall have been achieved. Keep howling, Bob!

On May 31, 2008, I witnessed what could turn out to be the beginning of the end of democracy in our country. Obama’s henchmen on the Rules and By-Laws Committee of the DNC stole votes and delegates that had been awarded to Clinton by the voters of Michigan and gave them to Barack Obama. Of course, there’s hardly a footnote of this from any of the MSM coverage of that event. But I saw it firsthand, and it is the main reason that I will never support Barack Obama …

This is how it  begins, a gut-twisted retelling of the history of Democratic perfidy, well written about in all pumasphere and Hillary-blogdome. During the months of June through August, Democrats morphing into pumas recalled those days of bile, bitterness and Harriet Christian (odd she shared initials with Hillary Clinton), and now a puma recalls it all. I believe this is also the dedicated creator of the puma bus that travelled to Denver {?)

In Obama’s world, if he is not on a ballot, but weasels his way back onto it later, he is entitled to votes from fictitious voters who supposedly would have voted for him.  Even if those voters are ratfuckers who were trying to game the other party’s primary. [sic]

The RBC changed two parts of this equation.  First the uncommitted delegates were not allowed to choose which candidate they would back, they were assigned to Obama in DC, not Denver.  And all of the write-in votes, presumably still gathering dust, unread, somewhere in a warehouse in Michigan, were also awarded to Obama.  Regardless of who’s name was actually written on them … ….

The post is linked here, a must read retelling at Riverdaughter’s.  I really didn’t feel like it would be good to rip out too many passages from the post, but just to give you a taste, do go and read it all at RD.

Also check out the vodpod stack to the right, Wall of Infamy. There are several videos in there including those featuring Harold Ickes, Donna Brazille, Harriet Christian, and of course, the DNC-RBC meeting.

Super-delegates took money, and endorsed a candidate that lost in their district. They took money, and endorsed a candidate that lost their state big!

They endorsed Obama eventhough Hillary won their district and their state!

Money can buy everything, even happiness.  At the very least it will buy you a shrink or a monk who will tell you that you are already happy and don’t know it or, that happiness is just money well-spent or, that there is really no such thing as happiness!  But will money buy you presidency of the USA?

Well, it looks like money will at least buy you a nomination. For in politics as in real life, there is no shortage of whores. And to the true whores I mean no disrespect for, were they to be a caste unto themselves, I would place them slightly above trust-fund billionnaires or draft-dodging chickenhawks.  May be some whores are even higher than some non-learned Brahmins! After all, since the dawn of civilization female whores have collectively been the mothers-superlative to all real mothers everywhere, being in truth the habitual last source of succor to the little boy inside every grown up male…..  Well enough of this rant about the sanctity of the much maligned profession of prostitution. Back to the important topic of buying politicians in advance of the coming nominating convention.

This topic came up once before, brought to us by the same due, GeekLove & Lynette Long. See here.

Dr. Lynette Long has been the champion workhorse doing the research in this obscure and dull subject. She has been methodically following the money flowing from the PACs of Obama, Pelosi, Hoyer, Clyburn and others. Money flowed to superdelegates like wine and honey in a tale from Arabian Nights! This has been documented widely across the blogs and picturized by GeekLove before and discussed here once before.

Dr. Long recently launched another effort on the web based on her research into the way the democratic caucuses were held this past winter. Caucus Analysis is a breathtaking initiative and worthy of every democratic and Democratic minded person in the land. Brief excerpts:

After studying the procedures and results from all fourteen caucus states, interviewing dozens of witnesses, and reviewing hundreds of personal stories, my conclusion is that the Obama campaign willfully and intentionally defrauded the American public by systematically undermining the caucus process. [sic]

I also hope it gives pause to those Democrats who believe that Barack Obama is the rightful nominee and that Hillary supporters should just “get over it.” I have been a Democrat my entire life, but I will not support the Democratic Party at the cost of democracy.

Some examples are stunning in their clarity and glaring stakness, Dr. Long again:

No one doubts the accuracy of the almost three million Texas voters who voted in the primary that selected Hillary Clinton as their choice for the Democratic nominee— but then why wouldn’t the caucus voters, a sample of the primary voters, make the same selection? [sic]

On February 9, Washington State caucused to determine the distribution of the pledged delegates. Obama won 21,629 to 9,992 votes or 68% to 31% and received 53 of the 78 pledged delegates. Ten days later Washington State had a primary election in which no delegates were awarded yet 669,856 people chose to vote in this beauty contest. Obama won this contest by 51% (354,112 votes) to 46% (315,744 votes). How could Obama win by 37 points in a caucus and only 5 points in the primary, a 32-point difference? [sic]

Nebraska also had a caucus and a primary. The February 5 caucus, in which 36,571 people participated, yielded very different results than the May 13 primary in which 89,921 voters privately cast their preference for the Democratic Nominee. Obama won the caucus by 36 points, 68%-32%, but the primary by only two points, 49%-47%. There was a 34 point difference between the two results. As a result of the Nebraska caucus and primary, Obama got 16 delegates, Clinton got 8. The caucus counted, the primary didn’t. [sic]

And to conclude, a final coup de grace:

The caucus factor is a real statistical event which inflated Obama’s lead over Clinton and misrepresented the will of the people. [sic] The Democrats have let the Red States like Wyoming, Nebraska, Alaska, Idaho, Kansas, North Dakota, Colorado and Nevada and the Southern States like North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Alabama, and Louisiana and the pick their nominee. Not a great coalition for the fall.

It’s my emphasis in that last bit. I can’t go on with this post, it’s just too nauseating. Please go to youtube to vote, favorite and comment on the video. Be sure to visit CaucusAnalysis.  God Bless America!

Throughout the primary season, Ms. Brazile wore her feelings on her sleeve, in emails, public pronouncements and on teevee. Now it has come back to bite her.

CNN stupidly removed Paul Begala and James Carville from commenting under the guise that they were ‘partisan.’  In the same breath they repeatedly put on air Donna Brazile, a member of DNC, a super-delegate to the Denver convention, and an unabashed votary for Obama while publicly insisting that she was ‘uncommitted’.

Donna waxed eloquent about the party’s future demographics, the changing base, the importance of liberal leftists, African-Americans and the youth joining to form a new base. The elderly, the working class and others are the ‘old’ core. The base could stay home, she proclaimed to disaffected Democrats. In one outburst on tv, she railed against the possibility of Hillary being chosen as nominee by the superdelegates.

Now that they did just that, except they are alleged to have tilted toward Obama, and the party seems to accept that outcome, what does Donna Brazile do now?

GeekLove tells us what gives. This video speaks for itself.

To recap the steps:

  • Write a letter to DNC, request a meeting of the Rules & Bylaws Committee, to  strip her status as a superdelegate.
  • Have the letter notarized (this is necessary per rules).
  • Mail the letter, certified & return receipt requested.
  • Address to mail to:

Democratic National Committee
Credentials Committee / Attn: Alexis Herman
430 S. Capital Street, S.E.
2nd Floor
Washington, DC 20003
