That’s our Nikki Haley, the one person who captured the imagination of the nation most, along with eliciting a veritable derangement syndrome from those who disliked her – that one a sure sign that she was doing something right!
Now it turns out:
….according to a new Google analysis of billions of terms pumped into the popular search engine, it turns out that Haley was actually the “fastest rising” political figure searched for on Google in 2010 – Source

…. don’t take our word for it. Take a look at the newest released today:
Nikki Haley: 50.9%

More on the poll here.
South Carolina faces some serious challenges in the days ahead. Nikki is the ideal candidate to deal with all of them in the context of the changing national political scene.
Let’s hope Nikki Haley will:
Help fight for repeal of Obamacare.
Keep America secure against terrorism.
Bring economic sanity to our national ethos, create jobs.
Above all: help draft Sarah Palin to run in 2912.
In that spirit, Go Nikki!!

Hail Nikki Haley, the youngest Mama Grizzly in the den!
Sarah Palin proves once again, she is a power to be reckoned with in 2012!
Obama Movement is done, Conservatism is the new American trend!
The political and ideological pendulum is well on its way to swing way out to the Right!
Okay, that’s enough different ways of saying the same thing – our favorite gal has won, Hail Nikki Haley.
In what Chris Cilllizza called the ‘marquee event’ of the election night, Haley crushed her primary run-off opponent, and became a national news sensation – with some early, if far fetched, talk of her vice-presidential potential.
Given Haley’s background and the primacy of South Carolina in the 2012 Republican presidential primary process, she will almost certainly become a national figure in short order.
With 100% precincts reporting, Nikki Haley polled almost twice as many votes as Gresham Barrett: 65 to 35 percent (233,322 to 125,428 votes).
The PUMA movement rejoices in Nikki Haley victory, albeit for a wide range of reasons, as evidenced by the comments to dakinikat’s post at The Confluence.
Congratulations to Nikki Haley. She is sure to cruise to an easy victory in the November general election since South Carolina is a solid red state,
The American Sweetheart, called a kindred spirit by Sarah Palin, and South Carolina’s own homegrown girl, now she is being called names … this is what gubernatorial primary politics have come to in these United States.
PUMAs know only too well the lying and the dissing, and the misogyny and the sexism, that went on so horribly against first Hillary Clinton and then Sarah Palin in 2008. That was then, Democrats in action. Now the Republicans are proving that they too can play the same game. Wait, wasn’t it Republicans that originally gave rise to the phrase ‘dirty tricks’? Well, it all gets so confusing in this high stakes games of politics. It does indeed separate the Big League players from the amateurs.
So, we now have Nikki Haley suddenly the object of every man’s lustful fulfillment, and a vile foreigner to boot. Sarah Palin was lucky, she was target merely as the object of male and female fantasies in I Masturbated to Sarah Palin videos, but Nikki Haley, oh no. The men just had, real sex, with her. Ouch, the men were married and now oh so contrite. But that woman of their desires, man, she, should she be the governor?!?! Oh, good Lord, take these men away to a woodshed and only you come back, btw, thanks Keith Ohlbermann for that image!
The real purpose of this post is two fold:
First, to share this link from the mighty funny, maverick blogger R.S.McCain. This latest post by Mr. R.S. McCain is a must read because he goes to great lengths to read all that others have written and capsulizes them well. In that same spirit, I simply pilfered his post title as a tribute. For he echos my sentiments well, to wit:
We have long ceased to expect that Democrats or the liberal media would treat any conservative woman with courtesy. However, there is a special horror in watching this woman subjected to such a vile smear campaign by Republican political operatives.
Second, to share this email from Nikki’s campaign, and urge you all South Carolinians to join her final push toward victory.
In this final week before the primary, Nikki will be rallying with our supporters on a “Join the Movement” Tour! You can find the complete list of rallies throughout the state below. Invite your friends and we will see you there!

Unless you just came out of desert expedition in the Gobi desert, or may be not even then, you’ve heard of the latest viral news of the ‘blogger who confessed’ faux-scandal.
Nikki has, of course, flatly dismissed all such talk as typical political smear, and overactive imagination, etc.
There is no reason at all, at this time, to believe a blogger, a self-promoting one at that – one who seems to have no other means of livelihood other than the ad revenue from the blog hits.
Lately, several conservative opinion leaders have expressed skepticism as well. Ranging from outright dismissal of the allegation to full faith and trust in Representative Haley.
Check out some of these blogs:
I do think the Bauer campaign coordinated this.
I don’t care whether they had an affair, whether it was a working relationship only or whatever
The Other McCain by Robert Stacy McCain –
If anybody thinks Will Folks is going to produce smoking-gun proof, they’re deluded.
The Liberty Pundits by Dr. Melissa Clouthier
I’ve figured from the beginning that money exchanged hands. I want to know where it came from, how much and how connected this money turns out to be.
Riehl World View by Dan Riehle –
Folks’ conduct in this has been despicable. Someone should simply drive over and coldcock the SOB at this point.
Vote for Nikki Haley!
…….. we need to stick with Ms. Haley
I think Folks is a despicable, lying, attention whore.
The most interesting thing about this allegation, in addition to the speculations of Melissa Clouthier and Robert Stacy McCain, in fact the only thing that screams loudest of all reasons – it’s the timing!
The drama erupts just a couple of weeks before the elections, and it follows close on the heels of the endorsement by Sarah Palin. Nikki just shot up to a 20 point lead there after. If that’s not reason enough to make all out war on a woman candidate’s character, then America hasn’t noticed what happened to Sarah Palin in the Fall of 2008, or to Hillary Clinton in the preceding primary season.
Unfortunately for voters, this drama will not end anytime soon, at least as far as the blogger’s charges are concerned. He will play his minor dirty role in the big game, Nikki will brave the fight as she must – the rusty nail she was promised arrived.
Will Nikki Haley’s Rising Star, continue to rise?
Here is wishing so!!

A nice perspective on how the saga developed and the man behind it, not to give him too much credit though, is this article by Adam Hochberg at Poynter Online.
And rather belatedly Al Tompkins sounds off at the same above website on How Journalists Anywhere can learn about how the cover political sex-scandals. First of all fools, don’t report it as news if it ain’t news, just saying it.
Many PUMA blogs have been quiet about this. That’s because they have seen mudslinging at its worst – first directed daily even hourly and rapidly -virally -against Hillary Clinton during the primaries in 2008. Later we saw astroturfing against Sarah Palin by the slime machine on the Left. So, Pumas understand .. politics as usual.

Nikki Haley in Opposition’s Crosshairs: a Good Sign for Nikki and South Carolina!
Well, whaddya know? South Carolina’s conservative candidate, Nikki Haley, recently zipped to the front of the line in her state’s race for governor; and lo and behold, now accusations of an affair surface.
Nikki categorically denies the accusation that was spewed out there by a political blogger who has the gall to throw the stone, but then quickly duck and hide and proclaim he would not comment further on the issue. Quite convenient.
South Carolina: don’t let some blogger make any accusation against your Nikki if the guy doesn’t even have the guts or the integrity to speak further on such a significant claim. And don’t believe anything a liberal rag claims or suggests unless the reporter involved has the integrity and the facts to report to you so you can make up your own mind. For traditional media to rely on an accusation via some blog entry is almost laughable, but I know the seriousness of it because that’s exactly what my family and colleagues have had to put up with, every single day, for the past couple of years.
As I said to Nikki this morning, “Hang in there. I’ve been there
Reaching her from Wasilla, I then joked with Nikki that I was calling her from one of the many locations the lame stream media claims I moved to.
South Carolina friends, don’t let ‘em just make things up.
– Sarah Palin
Governor Palin’s Facebook page is getting views constantly, already nearly 1000 ‘liked it’ and over two hundred sounded off in support.
ORIGINAL POST BEGINS HERE:
The latest Rasmussen poll has Nikki Haley with a double-digit lead over her nearest rival in the GOP primary for the nomination as the Republican candidate for Governor of South Carolina – due on June 8, 2010.
Haley wins a modest plurality (33%) of the votes of those who Strongly Favor repeal of the health care bill and those who favor a law like Arizona’s. McMaster is next, capturing 20% of the vote in both groups.
Haley is viewed Very Favorably by 31% of likely GOP Primary voters and Very Unfavorably by five percent (5%).
The most recent debate from last Saturday night at Greenville, here is the youtube clip:
Here is the video of the speech given by our other girl, Sarah Palin, in support of Nikki Haley during a rally a week ago.
Three things stand out in Sarah Palin speech: her dig at Obama’s reference to folks who “cling to their religion and Bibles,” her reference to Nikki Haley’s personal political journey, as a “kindred spirit”, and most of all the total and true enthusiasm and advocacy that is pure Palin. Nothing in politics in America comes close to the lilting tone of joy and excitement that Sarah Palin exudes when she polemically exults! How can any of that be not a ‘deciding factor’ in any election!!
The latest brouhaha in this race is the talk of an affair with Nikki Haley, claimed by Will Foks an aide to the former Governor Sanford. And vigorously denied by Nikki Haley. WISTV story. As a Puma, I am all too familiar with the character assassination shenanigans – having seen Hillary, Sarah and others. The truth however, is personal and irrelevant. In any case, the last minute outings such as this are to be taken with a grain of salt. It just don’t matter, not yet. After all, Nikki Haley is still America’s Sweetheart.

It is incredibly exciting to have Governor Palin involved with the campaign and this builds on our momentum.
We will be having a rally tomorrow in Columbia, around 5:30pm and hope you can join us.
This is great news for Nikki, whom we began to support a long time ago. And not just for ethnic chauvinism. She is a great fit for governor Sarah’s spirit, and philosophy.
See our earlier, related, posts.
This endorsement speaks well for both politicians, and is a good move. Just like the Carly Fiorina endorsement, (Let Palin be Palin), this will help all around. Nikki has in the past supported Mitt Romney – a mutual sense of respect. But this new development augurs well all around, and to the GOP at large. It will yield rich dividents not only in 2010 for Nikki, but for Sarah in 2012 as well.
Go ladies, go!
