If  just ONE more person sees this ad, it’s posting here would have been justified.

Most of you have seen this video ad that the two networks refused to run. You are probably tired of one more blog post, same old youtube clip. I apologize.

But I repeat, if only just one more person sees this video as a result of it being posted here, we have defeated the cowards at NBC and ABC.

Now, you really understand why I don’t watch tv anymore (here, here). It happened midway through 2007: the charade, the falsehoods, the cowardice, the sycophancy, the lies, the misogyny, the sexism, the phony charges of racism. I remember it was MSNBC that first turned me off. And then it kept getting worse through the primaries of 2008, and then took a far more horrible turn after nomination of Sarah Palin. The terror that the Governor of Alaska struck into the heart of the the liberal media nation was too severe, too intense and too fundamental to their system, they have not yet gotten over it. Nor are they now over their love of the one. The news that is not news, the analysis that is not analysis continues unabated.

Now the networks as a whole are getting into the act. Acting as a buffer. Shielding the US from truth, making it safe for socialist medical system.

They don’t want other voices heard besides the chosen voice. But, there are other voices. They are being heard, thanks to the Internet.

May be you are one of those that has not seen this video.

If you are THAT person, this clip is for you!

So, I say again, if this post has made only one person aware of this video, then the cowards have been defeated.

It’s well past shrug-off time now, at least at Atlas.

It is now serious and scurrilous. So the Atlas is quaking, shuddering.

The “Atlas” is, of course, Pam Geller of Atlas Shrugs blog. She has come out guns blazing.

It’s payback time. Atlas is not just mad, she is getting even.

Let’s understand this, CNN won’t touch the birth certificate issue, the Rezko/Auchi corruption, his anti-semitism, ACORN/SEIU ties and corruption and legitimate stories that need investigation. But they write fiction about Palin. Daily. [….]

Why isn’t CNN pursuing the nude pornographic of Obama’s mom, Stanley, (untouched pictures here and here and here).- I never ran the pics as it was unseemly and wasn’t relevant. But this assault on Palin is too disgusting. It’s time to tell the ugly truth about the enemy in the White House and their whores in the media. It’s Obama operatives spreading the Palin lies. They know we won’t play dirty, so it’s time to play dirty.

She has posted links to what she says are untouched nude photos, (I can’t bring myself to post them directly either, we have to be classy, but….) just the link to Atlas, please —  here.

(Note: this is strong stuff, not for the squeamish)

It all started several hours ago when the intertubes overflew with slime, again.

Anti-Palin blogs went crazy with rumours of Sara and Todd getting divorced. AlaskaReport of one Dennis Zaki set off the fray and lent support. The masterminds behind this canard turn out to be the usual suspects: lefty bloggers with no life and an axe to grind. Specially one “Gryphen”

The Governor’s Facebook page posted a vigorous retort by Megan Stapleton, her press scretary.

More debunking and clarification can be found here at C4P

Some of the stuff can be read in an earlier post here.

(Sequel to: Why I don’t watch TV news shows, anymore, at all ...)

Saw this abominable asshattery performance of dhimmitude, brought to our painful attention by the great Pamela of  Atlas Shrugs blog. The dhimmi getup and the kitchy gift clock, made me realize why I dislike the MSM so much. What happened during the last election cycle is nothing compared to what’s coming down the pike. All good Americans out there, brace yourselves for a full blown apologia for being American, great, exceptional, or even otherwise.

And,  it made me dig out this old draft of a post and publish it.

Just stumbled on this one, an exhaustive article at NewsBusters by Mattew Balan.

In case the videos from the earlier post are pulled, or disputed over copyright issues, more on-the-scene blogging evidence can be found at El Rider, Founding Bloggers, and Leaning Straight Up.

Writing a three-part article on the current situation, Victor Davis Hanson, a favorite scholar of ours, wrote under the header Corruption of the Press:

We have no media—at least as we once knew it. Somewhere in late 2007, it disappeared entirely, and became something akin to the old Pravda … [Sic]

Few any longer connect with a Newsweek editorial, a Time essay, a riff from NPR, or commentary on PBS. The front pages of the New York Times or Washington Post are op-eds in thin disguise. [Sic]

The utopian ends of social egalitarianism for the new media lords justified the tawdry means of distorting reality.

In the meantime, we are beginning to see that the media is about to add humiliation to its moral failure, as it grasps that once you worship a Messiah, you cannot leave the cult.

(Emphasis added)

The entire set of articles is wholly edifying, and recommended. The idea of an American version of Pravda, it’s both saddening and terrifying.

The GovernatoressIn these days of growing sports frenzy, with baseball picking up steam, basketball and hockey in the limelight, with the US auto industry in trouble again, and with the Obama flip-flops continuing, only a few folks may have heard that Governor Palin refused federal stimulus funds for Alaska. Even fewer would have bothered to find out the details.

It is natural for us pumas to worry about the press in this country not doing its job fairly, if at all. When is the last time you have heard about anything that Sarah Palin did, other than gossip about her family, children no less!

Recently, the Governatoress, yes, that’s the new affectionate term I coined for Sarah Palin, it’s along the lines of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s nickname the governator, explained her stand.

In an Op-Ed piece in the Anchorage Daily News, Governor Palin explained that federal money was tied to changes in Alaska policies that ran counter to local legislation, local traditions and an Alaskan way of thought. Here are some quotes:

Strings were definitely attached to federal energy dollars. The stimulus law in section 410(a) (2), along with the Department of Energy’s (DOE) official guidance, required certifying one of two options before Alaska could receive the energy conservation funds. [sic]

The Legislature did not pass a bill adopting a statewide energy building code. In addition, the federal residential building code does not allow exemptions, such as we use in Alaska. When Alaska Housing Finance Corporation funds are used, building and energy codes can be waived due to the “high cost of implementation” in different areas of Alaska. One size does not fit all in Alaska. [sic]

Alaska communities have the right to determine for themselves whether to adopt building codes. [sic]

The Department of Energy finally admitted section 410 and their previous statements were “inappropriate” for some states but still wanted an agreement to push model codes on all Alaskan communities. I said no.[sic]

Beware of Washington, D.C., trying to cajole local community leaders to eliminate the choices Alaskans have when building or renovating homes and businesses. These new codes are so detailed they would dictate the kinds of lights that can be installed in a home in Akutan, and how thick window panes must be in Chignik. [sic]

We have hundreds of millions of dollars already budgeted for conservation, weatherization and renewable energy development. My administration will remain vigilant for Alaskans and oppose mandates or pressure to conform from Washington, D.C., bureaucrats.
{Emphasis Added}

Even a cursory reading of the op-ed article reveals the reasoning and the eloquent argument made by the Governor. You won’t read too much about it in the popular press. I guess, that’s why we-b-log.

UPDATE:

Tea Bag Puma

An excellent puma blog, Autographed Letter Signed, has an exquisite new post, detailing the exact same sense as this blog has experienced over the last two years. Namely, stunned exasperation at the media’s role during the recent election cycle, and heartache at the way Democrats turned against the Clintons, Hillary specially.

As painful as  all of that recapitulation is, this post by Kathy Barkulis is a must read. It’s simply, Pure Puma.

Why do I post it here? Well, turns out Barkulis is the same person as the lady we saw during the CNN-Tax Tea Party confrontation video. Who knew?

When I finished reading that post, and only then found out that the author was that same person as in the video below, believe me,  it was a deja vu moment, a Harriet Christian moment, if you will. That, is not too surprising either, as it was exactly a year ago that that lady burst on the scene, and won herself over as the original she-puma.

Do go and read the post. Click on the image.

Original Post Begins Here:

All Pumas know what sort of perfidy the media is capable of. For well over an year, we watched Hillary being savaged, Sarah being maligned mercilessly, candidate BO being praised sky-high and then totally venerated. PUMAs are well-versed in the media dirty tricks, lack of conscience, misogyny, and virulent left-leaning talent.

Shutthefreudup was borne of such angst. During the ’08 campaign, the media bias was well documented in all pumasphere and here as well. See here, here, here.  As noted  here,  Zombie wrote brilliantly about the meta game that went on during the longest presidential campaign ever!

Now, comes the Tea Party coverage. This video is just one reason why I gave up television two years ago, and am not likely to go back to it ever. The woman reporter virtually smears a whole movement as being as Nobamist, picks out the extreme nut job on view and totally ignores everyone else. She even mentions Fox, as a reason to devalue any citizen complaint, Nice!

To do anything activist nowadays is automatically directed agains the president, wow! What a change a couple hundred years have brought, too bad the King didn’t have access to CNN back during the Boston Tea Party days!!

Here is Rachel Maddow of some other network, she chortled endlessly over her own naughty thoughts.

Enough already! Giggles over tea bags?  Sex and the City caused Carrie and us to blush about this one, delightfully enough, some SIX years ago!!

For crying out loud, Rachel, you really are late for this party.

The last word on the Media’s idiocy must go to the great Bob Somerby of  Daily Howler, to wit:

For Maddow, Tuesday would be the fourth straight night of utterly juvenile dick jokes. (Last night’s program made five.) And so, a familiar dodge appeared. After treating us to a few quick dick jokes, Maddow pretended to explain why she’s been behaving this way: “I can’t help myself,” she said. Again, we ask our basic question: Has anyone on cable news ever been this disingenuous? [sic]

Sadly, this is becoming a standard feature of the Maddow Show. In this utterly bogus performance, “Sunday morning Rachel” appears, apologizing for the conduct of her “Saturday evening” alter ego. Her “admission,” of course, is utterly bogus—a juvenile way to have life both ways. As of last night, the prurient host has devoted five straight nights to long strings of “juvenile” dick jokes. On two of those nights, she has pretended that she is embarrassed by these conversations. On this third occasion, she pretends that she keeps doing these things because she can’t help herself.

But the news is a very important thing. A response to this nonsense writes itself:

Beyotch! If you can’t control the things you do, you need to get yourself off the air! Stop telling yourself that you’re a Rhodes Scholar. Go somewhere else. Get some help.

[Emphasis Added]

David Shuster went on a rampage of puns, double entendres, and glib Mattews-level sound and fury.

Even the highly talented baseball broadcaster Steve Stone couldn’t have reached this level of puns and wordplay!

Does any of this matter, it’s all politics, and of the moment only, right?  Don’t we always move on to the next hot topic anyway? That, is exactly the point. For, lost in all of this is a sad, and bitter truth about the media and what it can bring about. Again, Daily Howler’s Bob Somerby:

All through the 1990s, liberals and progressives sat back and took it while Clinton, then Gore, were relentlessly savaged. (George Bush ended up in the White House.) Now, progressives sit back and take it again, as this pair of simpering chimps make a joke of “progressive” news programs.

For as long as we’ve been alive on this earth, sneering pseudos of this type have undermined progressive interests. Long ago, they helped elect Nixon. Rest assured: In their open contempt for average people, they’re hard at work on the project again.

Envoi:

If this post accomplishes just one thing, gets you to visit Daily Howler, and return to it often, then some good shall have been achieved. Keep howling, Bob!

  • It Takes a Village... to Slay a Salmon July 3, 2013
The beauty of catching some of our Alaskan species with fins is the amount of meat harvested with each fish.
