Nikki Haley: America’s Sweetheart, Sarah’s ‘Kindred Spirit’, South Carolina’s “Home grown girl”.

Posted on: May 24, 2010

UPDATE:

Within hours of the scurrilous, self-serving rumor about Nikki Haley by a former aide to Governor Sanford,  vide infra, Sarah Palin posted a loud shout of support on her Facebook webpage.

Nikki Haley in Opposition’s Crosshairs: a Good Sign for Nikki and South Carolina!

Well, whaddya know? South Carolina’s conservative candidate, Nikki Haley, recently zipped to the front of the line in her state’s race for governor; and lo and behold, now accusations of an affair surface.

Nikki categorically denies the accusation that was spewed out there by a political blogger who has the gall to throw the stone, but then quickly duck and hide and proclaim he would not comment further on the issue. Quite convenient.
South Carolina: don’t let some blogger make any accusation against your Nikki if the guy doesn’t even have the guts or the integrity to speak further on such a significant claim. And don’t believe anything a liberal rag claims or suggests unless the reporter involved has the integrity and the facts to report to you so you can make up your own mind. For traditional media to rely on an accusation via some blog entry is almost laughable, but I know the seriousness of it because that’s exactly what my family and colleagues have had to put up with, every single day, for the past couple of years.

As I said to Nikki this morning, “Hang in there. I’ve been there

Reaching her from Wasilla, I then joked with Nikki that I was calling her from one of the many locations the lame stream media claims I moved to.

South Carolina friends, don’t let ‘em just make things up.

– Sarah Palin

Governor Palin’s Facebook page is getting views constantly, already nearly 1000 ‘liked it’ and over two hundred sounded off in support.

ORIGINAL POST BEGINS HERE:

The latest Rasmussen poll has Nikki Haley with a double-digit lead over her nearest rival in the GOP primary for the nomination as the Republican candidate for Governor of South Carolina – due on June 8, 2010.

Haley wins a modest plurality (33%) of the votes of those who Strongly Favor repeal of the health care bill and those who favor a law like Arizona’s. McMaster is next, capturing 20% of the vote in both groups.

Haley is viewed Very Favorably by 31% of likely GOP Primary voters and Very Unfavorably by five percent (5%).

The most recent debate from last Saturday night at Greenville, here is the youtube clip:

Watch here the May 18, Palmetto Family Council’s Faith and Values Debate aired on WIS .

Here is the video of the speech given by our other girl, Sarah Palin, in support of Nikki Haley during a rally a week ago.

Three things stand out in Sarah Palin speech: her dig at Obama’s reference to folks who “cling to their religion and Bibles,” her reference to Nikki Haley’s personal political journey, as a “kindred spirit”, and most of all the total and true enthusiasm and advocacy that is pure Palin. Nothing in politics in America comes close to the lilting tone of joy and excitement that Sarah Palin exudes when she polemically exults! How can any of that be not a ‘deciding factor’ in any election!!

Follow-up:

The latest brouhaha in this race is the talk of an affair with Nikki Haley, claimed by Will Foks an aide to the former Governor Sanford. And vigorously denied by Nikki Haley.  WISTV story. As a Puma, I am all too familiar with the character assassination shenanigans – having seen Hillary, Sarah and others. The truth however, is personal and irrelevant. In any case, the last minute outings such as this are to be taken with a grain of salt. It just don’t matter,  not yet. After all, Nikki Haley is still America’s Sweetheart.

Home from commercial fishing grounds in Bristol Bay, and here's Piper helping slay salmon to market! A good season for wild reds on the Nushagak, Piper hopes to make enough to cover, maybe, a cell phone bill. Do you agree, as I’ve said before, we need more girls holding up fish in pics instead of holding up iPhones in selfies?!  It’s always wonderful re […]

  • It Takes a Village... to Slay a Salmon July 3, 2013
The beauty of catching some of our Alaskan species with fins is the amount of meat harvested with each fish. Rod and reeling red salmon, or, my favorite, a big (or even not so big) halibut ensures you've got a few dinners taken care of even when feeding a bunch of people. We had a blast hauling in halibut in Homer a few days ago, despite the cold rain an […]

Today marks the beginning of the week-long ceremonies commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. But as Lincoln affirmed when he dedicated that hallowed ground, nothing we say or do can “add or de […]

If you missed President Obama’s State of the Union address last night, you didn’t miss much – especially if you watched any of his past four State of the Union addresses. We heard the same recycled rhetoric, and we heard his Orwellian declaration that the cornucopia of new federal programs he proposed, as well as his intention to eradicate world poverty, wou […]
  • New Year's Resolution to Keep the Faith! January 1, 2013
Best wishes to everyone for a happy New Year! In the coming days there will be a great deal of debate about the goings-on in the political arena and the shenanigans in Washington. Constitutional commonsense conservatives must stay engaged and hold our “leaders” accountable to the voice of average everyday hard working Americans or we will very soon become an […]
