Debbie Schlussel speculates on The video under question

Posted on: October 31, 2008

Debbie Schlussel gets aggravated by plagiarism specially when she is the victim of it.   A tireless blogger and tenacious researcher  of all things Un-American or Anti-Zion,  Ms. Schlussel’s oft repeated lament is how other media people rip her off by using her material without attribution.  The latest instance involves information about  video that L. A. Times says they are not going to release.

The tape covers a going away party to Rashid Khalidi in 2003, and is said to be explosive, showing Obama in company with extreme radical Palestinians, basking in their affection and reciprocating with their shared anti-zionist sentiments.

The video tape supposedly being suppressed by the L.A. Times is rapidly acquiring an interesting internet history.

There is now a reward of $200,000 for the tape, will bribery work, and will the amount go up over the weekend?  Dirty Harry is pushing hard with the reward.

Organized attempts are on-going to get the paper to put the tape out. There are protests and an online petition drive.

Debbie Schlussel is ticked off that she is not getting proper credit due:

But what you may not know is that I started the whole story, and Los Angeles Times reporter Peter Wallsten plagiarized me. (WND’s resident ganif Aaron Klein also ripped-off the same article in May

I’m almost positive that the video Wallsten referenced in the story was obtained from Arab American Action Network founder Abunimah because my article–the one Wallsten ripped off from me–featured photos of Barack Obama and wife Michelle seated with PLO advisor Edward Said at another AAAN annual banquet and led Wallsten to contact Abunimah. I noted in my article–from which Wallsten got most of his info–that the pics were from Ali Abunimah’s Electronic Intifada site, in which he wrote about Obama’s 180 on Israel from those days of AAAN dinners and PLO confabs..

Debbie Shlussel is an amazing person, at times wonderful at times odd. But she is very persistent and passionate about her values: Americanism, Zionism, Tolerance, Plurality, terrorism, illegal aliens, and moral vlaues. some PUMAs will find her a kindred spirit, she makes for an interesting periodic stop over during anyone’s blog tour.

This whole business of Obama’s controversial positions, flip-flops and his standing with the pro-Israeli groups is not new. The issue shot to fame in the early stage of the primaries which found  the aforementioned  Ali Abunimah tallking to Amy Goodman of the Democracy Now.  In a 30- minute long stretch the founder of Electronic Intefada  expounds at length on the different presidential candidates, dismissing all of them except Obama  who is always ‘very comfortable with Palestinian community’.  He also rails against the  “barbaric Israel” , compares war on terrorism to ‘anti-communist hysteria’.  Also seen in the Amy Goodman interview are scenes from fundraising events in which you can see Obama and Michelle seated with none other than the legendary towering scholar Edward Said, (Pic Link). You can watch the whole interview at DN site linked above, or view this old clip of Fox News and Brit talking to Carl Cameron from way back in June (I know only June, but does seem like so long ago).

Still, this is not a story likely to go anywhere in the few days left to make any difference. If  Obama is judged on things already known, no new tape will be needed. We have seen enough of him in 2 years to say firmly, NObama.

  • Slaying Salmon July 15, 2014
Home from commercial fishing grounds in Bristol Bay, and here's Piper helping slay salmon to market! A good season for wild reds on the Nushagak, Piper hopes to make enough to cover, maybe, a cell phone bill. Do you agree, as I’ve said before, we need more girls holding up fish in pics instead of holding up iPhones in selfies?!  It’s always wonderful re […]

  • It Takes a Village... to Slay a Salmon July 3, 2013
The beauty of catching some of our Alaskan species with fins is the amount of meat harvested with each fish. Rod and reeling red salmon, or, my favorite, a big (or even not so big) halibut ensures you've got a few dinners taken care of even when feeding a bunch of people. We had a blast hauling in halibut in Homer a few days ago, despite the cold rain an […]

Today marks the beginning of the week-long ceremonies commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. But as Lincoln affirmed when he dedicated that hallowed ground, nothing we say or do can “add or de […]

If you missed President Obama’s State of the Union address last night, you didn’t miss much – especially if you watched any of his past four State of the Union addresses. We heard the same recycled rhetoric, and we heard his Orwellian declaration that the cornucopia of new federal programs he proposed, as well as his intention to eradicate world poverty, wou […]
  • New Year's Resolution to Keep the Faith! January 1, 2013
Best wishes to everyone for a happy New Year! In the coming days there will be a great deal of debate about the goings-on in the political arena and the shenanigans in Washington. Constitutional commonsense conservatives must stay engaged and hold our “leaders” accountable to the voice of average everyday hard working Americans or we will very soon become an […]
