Sarah Palin Talking – an informed discussion with DC-Media Girl of NQR

Posted on: October 6, 2008

The vice-presidential debate had a tremendous redemptive effect. Pumas are heartened at the Palin they saw. We at this blog always new the key was simply to let Sarah be Sarah. So, we were thrilled that the real Sarah Palin showed up. Since she burst on national scene, Sarah has gotten a raw deal.

Right off the bat, she was greeted with 2 weeks of lies, rumors, smears and outright insulting conduct from the vast left. It continued with Gibson and Couric, TV shows redolent with distortions of cut and paste interviews , analysed with sensible empathy by Amy Siskind of New Agenda. Along the way the highpriests of comedy let loose their vulgar (Mahr) and easy (SNL) barbs, and an out of hand dismissal by Oprah Winfrey. Now, the smear machine is in full gear with all print, radio, tv and internet sites in full blast mode, gunning for Sarah, calling her names, lying, and distorting.

In this post, we bring a nice long dsicussion of Sarah’s public appearences by people who are seasoned political watchers, media-savy writers, and true Pumas: DC-Media Girl has a great internet radio show called the Hour of Power hosted by No Quarter Radio (No Quarter USA is one of our favorite sites, along with their youtube page, and their radio page).

The other participant in this discussion is Dr. Violet Socks of Reclusive Leftist blog whose quotes from Sarah Palin has been a STICKY post at the top of this blog for some time recently. It was called Sarah Palin on Feminist Issues

The third component in our current post is BlogTalkRadio, an excellent internet resource to a thousand different interests. They provide an alternative space to the msm and corporate controlled media. A terrific idea whose time is now.

Sorry for all that intro, now just click the image to listen to a lively chat between DC-Media Girl and Violet Socks about Sarah Palin in debate.

  • Slaying Salmon July 15, 2014
Home from commercial fishing grounds in Bristol Bay, and here's Piper helping slay salmon to market! A good season for wild reds on the Nushagak, Piper hopes to make enough to cover, maybe, a cell phone bill. Do you agree, as I’ve said before, we need more girls holding up fish in pics instead of holding up iPhones in selfies?!  It’s always wonderful re […]

  • First Leg of the "Good Tidings and Great Joy" Book Tour November 6, 2013
Looking forward to heading out on the first leg of our "Good Tidings and Great Joy" book tour! I wanted to share with you some of the pre-Thanksgiving schedule and details. (More to come!) We look forward to seeing you on the road, having the opportunity to spread the positive message of this book and really share in the true spirit of the Christma […]
  • It Takes a Village... to Slay a Salmon July 3, 2013
The beauty of catching some of our Alaskan species with fins is the amount of meat harvested with each fish. Rod and reeling red salmon, or, my favorite, a big (or even not so big) halibut ensures you've got a few dinners taken care of even when feeding a bunch of people. We had a blast hauling in halibut in Homer a few days ago, despite the cold rain an […]
  • Commemorating the 150th Anniversary of Gettysburg June 30, 2013
Today marks the beginning of the week-long ceremonies commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. There will be a full re-enactment of the battle, discussions with panels of historians, and of course a re-reading of the Gettysburg Address. But as Lincoln affirmed when he dedicated that hallowed ground, nothing we say or do can “add or de […]
  • #SOTUGottaBKiddingMe February 13, 2013
If you missed President Obama’s State of the Union address last night, you didn’t miss much – especially if you watched any of his past four State of the Union addresses. We heard the same recycled rhetoric, and we heard his Orwellian declaration that the cornucopia of new federal programs he proposed, as well as his intention to eradicate world poverty, wou […]
  • New Year's Resolution to Keep the Faith! January 1, 2013
Best wishes to everyone for a happy New Year! In the coming days there will be a great deal of debate about the goings-on in the political arena and the shenanigans in Washington. Constitutional commonsense conservatives must stay engaged and hold our “leaders” accountable to the voice of average everyday hard working Americans or we will very soon become an […]

Will Shia LaBeouf’s Trump hate save his career? The Transformers star is in big trouble. Again. Could his ardent hate for President Trump help him bounce back? Mel Gibson couldn’t get arrested in Hollywood following his oh, so famous public meltdown in 2006. The Lethal Weapon star ranted against the Jews while being cuffed on DUI charges. It took years for G […]

  • Pansexual Outs Homophobic Jock with Gay Kiss on Stephen King's 'The Mist'
As a show that’s supposed to be highlighting the downfall of social structure as monsters reign around the city, Spike’s The Mist is…surprisingly dull. Maybe it’s because the series depends on me caring about paper-thin liberal stereotypes as they dryly whisper through their been-there, done-that TV problems and are momentarily distracted by fog and the occa […]

In the wake of President Trump’s interview with The New York Times, where he hammered his Attorney General and pressed on the Russia investigation, MSNBC’s Chief Legal Correspondent Ari Melber demonstrated that NBC can’t get its story straight. “And with regard to [Special Counsel] Mueller … just to be clear, neither the new FBI director nor the president ha […]

Retired NFL quarterback Michael Vick continues to draw backlash for his comments Monday that it would be in Colin Kaepernick’s best interests to clip his hair and become more “presentable.” SB Nation writer Tyler Tynes posted one of the strongest disagreements yet by claiming that Vick is advocating for “respectability politics” and white oppression. • MSNBC’s Chris Matthews Compares Trump to Idi Amin, Kim Jong-Un; ‘He Loves the Parades!’
President Donald Trump was compared to another murderous world dictator on Thursday night as MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews suggested Trump is just like former Ugandan dictator Idi Amin and North Korea’s Kim Jong-un since Trump and Kim “love the parades” where they can serve as the star alongside military demonstrations.  The comparison arose while Mat […]
