Interesting post at Texas Darlin

Posted on: September 23, 2008

There is so much about Obama that is disturbing, to so many people, in so many different aspects. Every detractor has a different angle (for me it’s simple: Experience).

Hundreds of commenters, writers, bloggers and pundits (mostly outside MSM) have been complaining about the lack of public scrutiny or questioning of BO’s resume. Folks seemed to have just jumped up and fell in for his rhetoric. Obviously America is hungry for some sort of change. It was known all during the primaries that Obama’s challenges vis a vis the GOP will be quite different from fighting off HIllary.

Here is an audio-based youtube clip (not my preference to use a TPM sourced clip, but that’s what is out there). In it you can hear McCain campaign ‘blistering the New York Times’ as an organizational tool of the Obama campaign

This lack of background check offers a nice segue to this extrordinary, extensive and explosive article by one Dr. Kate, posted at Texas Darlin, a fav site. A long leisurely read: Trojan Candidate.

  • Slaying Salmon July 15, 2014
Home from commercial fishing grounds in Bristol Bay, and here's Piper helping slay salmon to market! A good season for wild reds on the Nushagak, Piper hopes to make enough to cover, maybe, a cell phone bill. Do you agree, as I’ve said before, we need more girls holding up fish in pics instead of holding up iPhones in selfies?!  It’s always wonderful re […]

What an honor it was to speak today at the “Restoring Honor” Rally in D.C. The following is the text of my remarks. • First Leg of the "Good Tidings and Great Joy" Book Tour November 6, 2013
Looking forward to heading out on the first leg of our "Good Tidings and Great Joy" book tour! I wanted to share with you some of the pre-Thanksgiving schedule and details. (More to come!) We look forward to seeing you on the road, having the opportunity to spread the positive message of this book and really share in the true spirit of the Christma […]
  • It Takes a Village... to Slay a Salmon July 3, 2013
The beauty of catching some of our Alaskan species with fins is the amount of meat harvested with each fish. Rod and reeling red salmon, or, my favorite, a big (or even not so big) halibut ensures you've got a few dinners taken care of even when feeding a bunch of people. We had a blast hauling in halibut in Homer a few days ago, despite the cold rain an […]
  • Commemorating the 150th Anniversary of Gettysburg June 30, 2013
Today marks the beginning of the week-long ceremonies commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. There will be a full re-enactment of the battle, discussions with panels of historians, and of course a re-reading of the Gettysburg Address. But as Lincoln affirmed when he dedicated that hallowed ground, nothing we say or do can “add or de […]
  • #SOTUGottaBKiddingMe February 13, 2013
If you missed President Obama’s State of the Union address last night, you didn’t miss much – especially if you watched any of his past four State of the Union addresses. We heard the same recycled rhetoric, and we heard his Orwellian declaration that the cornucopia of new federal programs he proposed, as well as his intention to eradicate world poverty, wou […]
  • New Year's Resolution to Keep the Faith! January 1, 2013
Best wishes to everyone for a happy New Year! In the coming days there will be a great deal of debate about the goings-on in the political arena and the shenanigans in Washington. Constitutional commonsense conservatives must stay engaged and hold our “leaders” accountable to the voice of average everyday hard working Americans or we will very soon become an […]

  • Disgusting Joss Whedon Insinuates in Tweet That Paul Ryan Is a Pedophile April 28, 2017
The pathetic behavior of action movie director Joss Whedon has been well documented here on NewsBusters, but his tweet on Thursday might be his worst one yet. In a Thursday evening tweet to his 178,000 followers, he used a picture of House Speaker Paul Ryan meeting young women at the U.S. Capitol to suggest Ryan’s a raging pedophile.

  • The Conservative Media Meets Trump April 27, 2017
President Trump did something Monday I have long advocated. He met with a small group of conservative journalists, pundits and radio talk show hosts. I was among them. After ticking off a list of what he said were his accomplishments leading up to the arbitrary 100-day marker of his presidency, we asked him questions.

  • Hillary as Seen By Official Washington April 27, 2017
WASHINGTON — We call it Kultursmog, "it" being that collection of attitudes, ideas, tastes and personages that are polluted by the politics of the left and predominate on both coasts. And who are we? We are the freethinkers who are immune to the Kultursmog by virtue of our natural skepticism and reliance on empiricism, which is to say, reliance on […]

  • Ross Douthat Goes Off NYT Reservation with Faint Trump Praise April 27, 2017
The New York Times version of political diversity is that even if you are a scorned "conservative" you can still be tolerated on their pages but ONLY if you are resolutely anti-Trump. A supposed conservative was recently hired by the Times but read this description about him in the very first sentence of this April 12 Politico story:

  • National Press Ignoring Portland, Ore. Parade Cancellation After Violent Threats Against GOP Marchers April 27, 2017
A development has occurred which should erase any doubt that basic freedoms are in serious jeopardy in much of blue-state America. It is at least as disturbing as the failure of the University of California at Berkeley and the Berkeley Police Department to provide for the safety of conservative Ann Coulter, leading to the cancellation of her planned appearan […]
