Word came that the The Denver Group has been de-listed by Act Blue!
Reason? Well, this ad questioning the validity of the nominating process aka FAKE ROLL CALL at Denver upset someone in high places. Hence word came down to take TDG down!

You can see the second Ad placed by the Denver Group in Congressional Quarterly Daily
DG is still raising money to “bring awareness” of the risk to Democratic party, in not having an honest and open convention. Hillary’s name must be placed in nomination, not just symbolically put on ballot only to be given lip-service and, then anoint the appointed candidate. The delegates all, must be given a chance to debate, vote, and respond to a roll call of the states one by one – openly chose the party’s nominee. Read more about why simply being ‘on ballot’ is just not enough.
Dr. Howard Dean just now became aware of the efforts of the Denver Group. Ad an open letter and signed petition is being sent to him. Please read and sign the petition here. To quote the learned lady,
A rigged or short-circuited process taints the result in a way that I find off-putting. So often this political season the Democratic Party, sometimes at the state level and sometimes at the national one, has seemingly disregarded its own rules because some in the Party find that following those rules is inconvenient or fatiguing or scary.
Look at it this way folks, the primaries and caucuses are just like spring training, the convention is where the delegates chose the party’s nominee, openly and publicly on national T, (to extend the analogy general election is the big game.) Oops, sorry for the sports thing, but it seems to work for an overwhelming majority of Americans. Now, if the convention is the real game, or battle ground if you wish, then why does the DNC want ‘spring training stats’ to decide who the champion is? Or, using slightly different metaphor, why decide the fate of tied game on the basis of a first inning score, why not let the process play out? Anything short is a questionable, and smacks of Scalia and 2000 (Gore v Bush) style decision making. Remember the phony question “how many times do you want those ballots counted? Well, will the convention delegates even get to vote, let alone have their true intentions declared and tallied? Or, do we want a razor thin margin of dubious spring training stats to decide the fate of the nation and the free world?

Click on the link for D is for Denverto go to my brand new, Act Blue Fund raising Page For The Denver Group. You can read there my plea about why 2008 is so important, why we need to have a choice at the convention.
For those who don’t know, Act Blue is an online clearing house for fund raising for democratic (large D included) causes, candidates and organizations. Similar to Emily’s List, Move On and others, it uses the powers of the Internet to streamline and energize the donation processes. Using a variety of web tools, it helps get the word out, get citizens involved, and best of all makes donating to your cause as easy as ordering netflix movies ….
When you read the goals of The Denver Group and follow their on-going activities, you can see why It is important that we should help them. It is Democracy, stupid.
So, come on fans of ‘the Senator’. Let’s do it, now!
