Obamacare – Links and Views Part Two

Posted by: sharmajee on: August 13, 2009

This video at Naked Emperor News speaks for itself. Just play it.

‘Obama’s Mother of All Political Lies and the Town Hall Mayhem It Caused’

The trouble with being silver tongued is this. So many speeches, so many grand pronouncements, it’s really hard to keep track of it all. So convoluted the logic, it gets really messed up. No wonder, the poor guy ended up praising the private sector UPS and FedEx the other day.

For more discussion, videos, and laughter, please refer to myiq2xu a regular contributor to the riverdaughter’s The Confluence (that mother of all PUMA blogs).

  • US Troops Must be Second to None November 23, 2009
Can’t wait to meet our troops – and all those who love the U.S. Armed Forces – today at Ft. Bragg. Read my book’s dedication page. The book is for these Patriots who fight for freedom. They deserve our support and our government’s unwavering commitment to equipping them for victory. The book tour is beyond all expectations. This feels like the time when a te […]
  • In the Midnight Hour November 21, 2009
The Senate is set to vote Saturday night, right before the holiday, on a motion to proceed on its latest health care government take-over bill. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is pushing for yet another weekend vote (commonplace now for the party of “transparency”) because he knows that the American people will be none too happy about the Democrats’ propos […]
  • Not Enough Hours in the Day November 20, 2009
The response on this book tour has been overwhelming. We are truly humbled, and I thank you. I've been told that yesterday there were supporters in Noblesville who stood in long lines for hours in the cold and rain, and the book signing event ended without a chance to say hello to everyone who showed up. I am so sorry. We are working on a solution for t […]
  • Cancer Screenings - Rational Advice or Rationed Care? November 20, 2009
It was a breath of fresh air to finally hear the Democrats admit to their health care bill as “a lot of show and tell and razzmatazz,” (see Democrat talking points, in reference to my book). At least now we’re all on the same page when discussing the problems with their monstrous government health care “reform” plan. Now, tonight, more disconcerting news – t […]

Details of the second half of the Going Rogue book tour! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in every stop on the tour, but I'm especially looking forward to meeting our brave men and women in uniform at Fort Hood. I'm joining the efforts of many others by donating my royalties from the book sales during our stop at Fort Hood to the familie […]

On Tuesday’s CBS Early Show, correspondent Nancy Cordes reported on the Obamas hosting their first state dinner in the White House and declared: “Everyone wants one, but only a few hundred are lucky enough to get an invitation to the hottest ticket in town...” Cordes concluded her brief report by mentioning: “Pop entertainer and Chicagoan Jennifer Hudson wil […]

  • Contrary to Leftist Accusations, Census Worker's Death Ruled Suicide November 24, 2009
After a Census Bureau worker was found dead in rural Kentucky in September, liberals jumped at the chance to attribute his death to right-wing extremists whipped into a frenzy by the hate-filled sermons of Michelle Bachmann and Glenn Beck. It turns out the Census employee committed suicide and tried to make it seem like a murder to recoup life insurance paym […]

  • MSNBC's Chris Matthews Brow-Beats Catholic Bishop Over Abortion November 24, 2009
Apparently MSNBC's Chris Matthews doesn't want Catholics involved in the political process at all - especially when it comes to abortion. Earlier this month the "Hardball" host declared "The clergy should stay off Capitol Hill." Last night, he accused Thomas Tobin, bishop of Providence, Rhode Island, of "telling public offi […]

  • Essay: The Media Aren't Talking About Health Care's Lost Jobs and Crushing Taxes November 24, 2009
What’s hidden in health care reform that you haven’t heard about? Plenty. Without a news media interested in questioning the contents of the legislation, how could you know about the punitive taxes and job-killing provisions lurking in it? My clients in the restaurant industry alerted me to the House bill’s mandate that all restaurants and retail establishme […]

  • CBS’s Smith Frets Over Left-Wing Opposition to Obama Afghanistan Strategy November 24, 2009
Speaking with Brookings Institution analyst Michael O’Hanlon on Tuesday about President Obama’s upcoming decision to increase troop levels in Afghanistan, CBS Early Show co-host Harry Smith worried: “...how much is this going to cost him on the Left? Because I’m – I’ve got this sense that there will be people on the Left of President Obama who are not please […]

  • Will Anyone Try the 'Fancy State Dinner In Hard Times' Angle? They Did in 2001 November 24, 2009
Will anyone try to spin the Obamas' first state dinner (with Indian prime minister Manmohan Singh) as a ritzy affair utterly clashing with today's hard times? They did with the Bushes in 2001, as we reported in the September 11, 2001 morning Cyber Alert. MRC's Ken Shepherd found Newsweek magazine's snarky Conventional Wisdom box introduce […]

  • Searching for Christmas, and Case of the Missing Layoff Stories November 24, 2009
This is the fifth year I have looked into how the media treats these two topics: The use of "Christmas shopping season" vs. "holiday shopping season" (note how the AP photo at right uses "holiday" and not "shopping," even though there is a C-C-, Chr-Chr-Christmas tree in the picture). The frequency of Christmas and hol […]

  • Clunker Goals Get Clunker Results [GDP Update] – Open Thread November 24, 2009
(Bumped up from Saturday and with revised GDP update) Trashing a vehicle is pretty easy to do. Of course, if your goal was to to have fun and still be able to drive home at the end of the day, then breaking an axle can only be counted as a very costly mistake. The kind [...]

In the clip below, they discuss the double standard of the media toward female politicians compared to male politicians: […]

  • Barack Losing Mojo and Modo November 23, 2009
    * Bumped up * When New York Time columnist Maureen “The Modo” Dowd decides that butt snorkeling for Obama is no longer fun, you know the hopey-changey holiday season is kaput. Maureen apparently was inspired by Hamlet, who lamented over the long-decayed Yorick: Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio, a fellow of infinite jest, of most [...]
